| Stay in Touch Twitter: #spokespeople Facebook Next Spokespeople Ride“Farm & Fowl Tour” Early spring edible gardens will be our focus on this ride. We will start at South Seattle Community College the site of the developing Community Orchard of West Seattle and pedal on to some West Seattle gardens. From West Seattle we will take a 20 mile round trip ride out to one of my favorite gardens, the Interbay Pea Patch. This route will take us along a flat and limited traffic route of the Seattle waterfront and Myrtle Edwards park to Magnolia and the Interbay P Patch and back. The ride will be 22 miles round trip at a leisurely pace. The ride group will ride a “stay together” style with frequent regrouping stops. Ride details
Bikes must be in good working order. |
Spokespeople West Seattle is an extension of Spokespeople Wallingford. The concept is simple. Many would-be bicycle riders for recreation or transportation could benefit from going on easy bike rides with experienced riders.
Stu Hennessey of Spokespeople West Seattle is very willing to share the information he has obtained from over 30 years of using a bicycle as a main form of transportation. He is also a professional bicycle mechanic in case doing your own roadside repairs makes you flinch. Other support riders who regularly join the group also have a lot to share. Starting the process of shifting gears from cars to bicycles can be daunting. That is why we support Spokespeople West Seattle.
Spokespeople West Seattle is a Cascade Bicycle Club-sanctioned ride with certified ride leaders.
