Village Green Perennial Nursery

Village Green Perennial Nursery is hosting a hands-on fermentation seminar and workshop on Sunday November 11, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Village Green, 10223 26th Ave Sw, Shorewood (just south of the Safeway on 26th).  The fee is $35 which covers material costs.

Fall is the perfect time of year to bring tasty, healthy, traditionally fermented foods into your life! Store-bought vinegar pickles and sauerkraut can’t compare to traditionally fermented relishes, which add probiotics and superior nutrition along with zippy flavor.

In class we will make juniper sauerkraut, pickled beets, and ginger carrots. Bring 3 small jars (1/2 pint, jelly jar size) if you’d like to bring some home to grace your Thanksgiving table!
