Duwamish Tribe Hosts National North American Native Heritage Events @ Longhouse

The Duwamish Tribe invites the public and friends to the Duwamish Longhouse & Cultural Center, 4705 W. Marginal Way SW, for a free day of activities.

It’s National Native American Heritage Month.

Events include singing, dancing and drumming. Come sing, dance & drum with Singing Feet – winner of a 2012 Mayor’s Arts Award.

There will also be a native history and Duwamish history class from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon. The Duwamish tribal Princess Angeline film will play at 1:00 pm. The Duwamish kitchen will be preparing their famous Frybread from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Exhibits and Art Gallery will be open from 10:00 am through 5:00 pm.
