West Seattle Tool Library
We Need Your Help!

Ever borrow a tool from your neighbor? Ever wish they had a better selection? Sustainable West Seattle has won a grant from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and has set up a tool lending library. You can find out more information or check out our inventory!

Ask An Expert & Do It Yourself Social @ Tool LIbrary

Join fellow Do-It-Yourselfers at the West Seattle Tool Library this Thursday, January 12, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm the monthly “Ask an Expert & DIY Social.”

Ask an Expert meets at the West Seattle Tool Library, Youngstown Cultural Center, 4408 Delridge Way SW.

Each month, the Tool Library brings together our community and hosts experienced DIY coaches who are willing to answer any questions that you may have on your current projects, future plans, or anything else you liked to discuss. Our coaches have expertise in a variety of areas, including solar power, water harvesting, green architecture & building, permaculture, and urban gardening. This month’s lineup includes experts from: Mighty House Construction, Urban Land Army, Solar Epiphany, LD Arch Design, Alki Bike and Board, as well as members of our community at large

These open and informal community meetups offer an opportunity to bounce project ideas off fellow DIYers and maybe receive some advice in the process, if you like. It’s also a great time to show off what you’ve been working on.

You bring your inspiration and your inquiring minds.

We’ll bring the experts and the pizza! See you there!

p.s. You do not have to be a West Seattle resident to participate in this event or borrow tools from the West Seattle Tool Library… but it’s awfully convenient!

Upcoming dates: February 9, and March 8, both Thursdays.
