West Seattle Tool Library
We Need Your Help!

Ever borrow a tool from your neighbor? Ever wish they had a better selection? Sustainable West Seattle has won a grant from the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and has set up a tool lending library. You can find out more information or check out our inventory!

Fall SCALLOPS Meeting @ West Seattle Tool LIbrary

The SCALLOPS group will meet in West Seattle for their Fall session on November 12 from 10:00 am through 2:00 pm. Space is extremely limited (30 people) so RSVP if you’re interested in attending - http://wstoollibrary.org/calendar/new-events/event/fall-forward-with-scallops/

The SCALLOPS meeting will be Hosted by Sustainable West Seattle at the West Seattle Tool Library, located in the rear of the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in North Delridge at 4408 Delridge Way SW.

There will be  mini-workshops on these topics:

  • Starting a Tool Library with Patrick Dunn
  • Community Kitchens with Leika Suzumura
  • Neighborhood Greenways with Stu Hennessey (bring your bike!)

There will also be an open circle to share your success stories with SCALLOPS: What have you done this year with local economy, happiness, community solar, rain gardens, raising chickens? Can your success story turn into success for other communities? If so, and you’re excited to help others get their own program going, please let us know more about your exciting program in the comments box when you register.

The new SCALLOPS website will also be previewed at the meeting.

To get there using public transit, Metro routes 120 and 125 stop directly in front of the building & connect to downtown in 10 minutes.  Carpooling and SOV directions.
