Alki Community Picnic and Music-in-the-Park

Join your neighbors at the Alki Community Center as they host an evening of kid-friendly activities, including a very kid-friendly music act for their Community Picnic and Music in the Park at the Alki Playfield – just south of “Whale Tale” Park one block off the beach in Alki.  Ten dollar bike helmets will be available for sale just in time for school so come on down.

The band - Board of Education - will play at the Alki Picnic.

Bring your family and friends to meet your neighbors at the Alki Community Center’s Community Picnic and Music in the Park event starting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31.

All you need is a lawn chair or a picnic blanket to place on the grass as you enjoy live music and food at Alki Playfield, 5817 SW Stevens St. Please bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the local food bank.

Alki Community Center will serve hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, macaroni salad, chips, and lemonade. The music group “The Board of Education” will be the featured live band for the evening; music starts at 6 p.m. There will be a bouncehouse and music to keep the kids entertained. This is an alcohol free event.

Note: Volunteers are needed to help serve food and help with kids’ activities, so please call Alki Community Center at 206-684-7430.

At the event, bike helmets will be for sale for $10 each. This is a great opportunity get your child ready for the school. Adult size helmets will be available too.
